Karen was my make up artist for my wedding day and I can't recommend her enough, very warm and welcoming from the moment I arrived. Very easy to chat to and listened to exactly the look that I was going for. I was so happy with how the make up turned out and was complimented on it throughout the day - it was still perfect at 3am! I wouldn't hesitate to book again, thank you ☺️
As someone who has never had their make up done professionally before I was super anxious about getting mine done for my wedding. All that anxiety was immediately put to rest by Karen when I met her. The trial made me feel so at ease and the moment I saw the magic she had created I knew she was the artist for me! On the day, I didnt think I could love the look anymore than I did but I was completely wrong! The look, the feels, the comfort and talent she brought, I don't have enough words to say thanks. Those who had theirs done on the day were also beyond grateful for her skills. From minimal looks, to natural, to my gothic alternative style, she hit every single brief we asked for and more. The only regret you could have is not booking The Make Up Genie. I'm still in awe!!

The most incredible makeup artist for the most important day of my life!
I honestly don’t have enough words to describe how grateful I am to have had Karen as my makeup artist on my wedding day. From the very first trial to the final touch-up on the day, they were nothing short of amazing, calm, professional, kind, and incredibly talented.
Not only did they listen carefully to what I envisioned, but they also made expert suggestions that enhanced everything perfectly. They managed to strike that perfect balance of glam and natural, so I still felt like myself just the most radiant version! My makeup stayed flawless all day and night, through tears, hugs, dancing, and everything in between.
On a day that can feel chaotic, Karen brought such a calming, positive energy it honestly felt like having a friend with me. My maid of honor and my mom were also absolutely glowing, and we all got so many compliments!
Thank you for making me feel beautiful, confident, and truly special. I couldn’t have asked for anyone better. If you're lucky enough to book Karen, know you're in the best hands possible.

Karen is fantastic at what she does. I was so happy with the make up look and it lasted all day. Karen has a lovely gentle demeanor and brings easy chat to the morning. She is professional and has everything timed to a t. Karen worked well with the mother of the bride and bridesmaids also. I could not recommend her highly enough. Karen is an amazing makeup artist but also one of the nicest people you will meet. She enhances your natural features while making sure that your makeup lasts into the wee hours of the morning. Before my trial she gave me great skin advice and by the time my wedding came around, my skin was in the best shape it had ever been! She did 6 makeups on my wedding day and each person looked the very best version of themselves and all loved their makeup. I could have stayed chatting to her all day, she creates a lovely calming atmosphere and it feels like chatting to a friend. Thank you so much Karen!

Huge thanks to Karen for my wedding makeup. I was so nervous to have someone else doing my makeup, but Karen was so helpful, prompt and professional to deal with which really put me at ease. Karen did exactly what I was looking for and I really felt like I looked like myself on the day.

Karen was such a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. She is an absolute professional and did such a fantastic job on the makeup for my wedding, I just loved it! She had six of us to get through on the morning and she did it with ease. She really made the effort to make sure everybody was happy. I couldn't recommend her more!

Just wanted to email and thank you again from all of us for the wonderful part you played on our wedding day. You looked after us so well and slotted in as one of the girls. The makeup genie did my bridal make up June 2nd 2018- there was six people to do including myself. We had an early start of 6.30am as our church was an hour away Karen came to my home for the makeup this helped for time keeping and also that we could relax on the morning between hair and make up! Karen made sure we were all ready on time for photographs before we left the house and everything ran so smoothly
Karen -The makeup Genie was amazing all my four bridesmaids looked stunning they looked like themselves very classic timeless makeup which was what I wanted. My mother looked amazing and Karen really made sure that she looked flawless! My own make up was amazing I was the best version of myself and was so all day!!

Where to begin..... Jeepers Karen is fab. She did an absolutely fantastic job for my wedding in March and I could not recommend her highly enough. She really took her time in the trial to make sure I was happy with everything, she went through all the products with me so I could have more for any touch ups on the day. She really thought of everything. On the day she was a dream, she is so friendly but worked really efficiently to get through all the make ups while still making everyone feel special. I cannot recommend Karen (who truly is a make up genie) highly enough.
I live in the UK and about five days before my brothers wedding in Cork, I was given Karen's details and luckily for me, she had, had a last minute cancellation and was able to fit myself and my two sisters in for our make up.
All three of us were very pleased with our looks. Karen quickly gave options and we trusted her opinion. She did not disappoint.
Everything about Karen is complete professionalism from the first prompt email reply to arrange everything, timekeeping, the way Karen presents herself, her amazing talent as a makeup artist and the way she completely puts you at ease.
I cannot say anything but positive comments about this lovely lady, only that my sisters and I wished she was local to us!

Karen is an excellent teacher. After having a demo with her, she explained and showed all areas of applying makeup in an easy and fuss free way. You learn a lot from Karen when she is demonstrating and shows you in a simple understanding way how to apply makeup. I would definitely recommend Karen and will definitely get my makeup done with Karen again! I highly recommend Karen to all!
