ABOUT ME
The Makeup Genie is a Multi Award Winning Mobile Makeup Artist in Douglas Cork. She has received awards such as the Hi Magazine's Makeup Artist of the Year in 2017 and in 2019 she received The Industry Role of Honour Award at the Tia Maria Hair and Beauty awards.
She has been working in the beauty industry for over 20 yrs. Having formally trained as a beauty therapist in the Cork College of Commerce she then branched into makeup artistry which is where her true passion really lies.
Karen worked for and trained as a Makeup artist with companies such a MAC, Estee Lauder, Clarins, Clinique and more, she has a huge bank of knowledge that she loves to share with her clients both young and old.
She is dedicated to helping each and every woman in finding their desired look. From bridal makeup to 18th birthdays , communion events and christening days any style from ultra subtle to full on dramatic makeup. She can transform you.
For the most part I work with Bridal parties travelling all over Munster to look after my clients in the comfort of their own homes or hotel suites. Specialising in Bridal work is what I do best.
I do also offer makeovers and makeup lessons to all age groups. As well as one day makeup courses and beauty therapy courses to secondary schools and colleges in Cork.
When doing makeup I only use the best makeup products such as MAC , Inglot, Estee Lauder, Charlotte Tilbury and a few more to make sure not only do you get a flawless professional finish but also access to a list of products you can attain another day when you visit your local department store.
